Posted on 9-Mar-2006 02:18 | Filed under: News

Nokia has introduced a new Bluetooth device compatible with its mobile phones. The Nokia Wireless Audio Gateway AD-42W streams music between compatible mobile devices, home stereos, PCs and wireless headsets.

Available during the 2nd quarter of 2006 the Nokia Wireless Audio Gateway AD-42W allows consumers to listen to music stored in their compatible mobile devices wirelessly with their home stereos. It also allows them to listen music stored in their compatible home computers or other compatible devices with their home stereos.

For an even more personal experience, they can listen to audio from their home stereo or home theatre with compatible wireless headsets, like the Nokia Bluetooth Headset BH-601.

The Nokia Wireless Audio Gateway AD-42W connects to the home stereo via industry standard RCA cables. Setup is easily done through a dedicated switch to change the usage mode (to / from audio source).

Nokia Wireless Audio Gateway AD-42W is compatible with devices that have the Bluetooth Advanced Audio Distribution (A2DP) profile. Nokia currently offers the A2DP profile with the Nokia 8800/8801 mobile phones (software version 3.94 or newer), Nokia Wireless Stereo Headsets HS-12W and Nokia Bluetooth Headset BH-601 as well as the Nokia Wireless Audio Adapter AD-47W.
