WebMessenger has released the Mobile Instant Messenger for Windows 5.0, available as a standalone wireless application for consumers and business professionals as well as for enterprises via the WebMessenger Mobile Platform.

WebMessenger's Mobile Instant Messenger for Windows Mobile 5.0 is a wireless IM application designed to work on all Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC devices and Smartphones such as the Cingular 8125, Treo 700W, T-Mobile MDA and HP iPAQ.

The application allows business professionals to securely correspond via IM or chat over all major public networks, including AOL, Google Talk, ICQ, Jabber, MSN and Yahoo.

Mobile Instant Messenger for Windows 5.0 provides multi-network access in a single client, enabling users to simultaneously chat with buddies on different networks. The application runs simultaneously with the phone and email applications. In addition, users are able to send and receive extended presence awareness information (online, busy, away and not available) as well as recognize the device of origin (desktop or mobile).

Mobile Instant Messenger for Windows Mobile 5.0 key features include 3DES Encryption with the ability to encrypt communication, an IM Networks Wizard, Enhanced IM Networks Screen and Buddy List Logo Icons.

WebMessenger's enterprise version of Mobile Instant Messenger for Windows 5.0 includes all of the above features and offers added interoperability with IBM Lotus Sametime, Jabber XCP, Microsoft Exchange IM, Microsoft LCS and Reuters Messaging.

The software is available as a fully functional 15-day trial version. Upon expiration, users can purchase a one-year client license key, which includes all service and version upgrades of the client.
