Advanced Portable Technologies is introducing the Hantel WLL-HTT800/800F, a Fixed Wireless Landline Replacement that can be used to connect a home phone, fax machine, computer, or other Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) devices, to Telecom New Zealand CDMA cellular network.

The Hantel WLL-HTT800/800F provide back-up solution for existing landline infrastructure, or delivers a combination of landline usability and mobile flexibility to portable, temporary, and remote locations, where POTS landline access is uneconomical or unavailable.

The device allows users to make cellular voice calls from a landline terminal, by simply pluging an existing POTS terminal into the voice port of the WW-HTT800/800F. It is also possible to connect a standard landline G3 fax machine to the decicated port on the WLL-HTT800F, and send and recieve faxes as easily as you would from the office, without any of the limitations of a fixed landline.

With WLL-HTT800/800F it is also possible to connect to the Internet wirelessy through its CDMA 1xRTT interface, with speeds of up to 153Kbps (kilobits per second), without an extra hardware. The connection of a personal computer to the data port is accomplished through a serial cable.
