Beta of TextMaker 2006 Pocket PC to Start Soon

SoftMaker will start a public beta program for TextMaker 2006 for Windows Mobile Pocket PC in the first week of April 2006. This new release of TextMaker offers a number of improvements, such as:

  • Unicode support
  • AutoShapes vector drawing
  • Tracked changes
  • Comments as "balloons" like in Word 2003
  • Load multiple documents simultaneously
  • Hierarchical bullets and numbering
  • Significantly improved filters for Microsoft Word, RTF, and HTML
  • Import filters for OpenDocument and OpenOffice.org
  • Revamped tables with repeating headers, rotated text etc.
  • Cross references, bibliography and many "long document" features
  • Optional large icons on hi-resolution Pocket PCs

    The software will come with user interfaces in English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Turkish, and Hungarian.
