New Auto Assault MMORPG Game Goes Mad Max Style
NCSoft North America launched their commerical service for Auto Assault in North America and Europe. Servers are located in Washington DC and Frankfurt, Germany.

Developed by NetDevil, Auto Assault is a massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) and is set in a post-apocalyptic world in which players battle with each other and fight for control over the remaining resources.

Players can design their characters and customise their vehicles for player-versus-player combat via the arena system and contested outpost battles. The environment is destructible and players are encouraged to blast through buildings, level towns and destroy just about everything they see.

This is the first game of its type in the MMO market and offers an easy level of entry with its instant action appeal.

The North American version is expected to retail for US$49.99 and comes in a limited edition (US$59.99) which includes a headset to utilise the game's voice chat system and a game soundtrack CD. Both the limited and standard editions come with one months online game play after which players will need to pay a monthly subscription fee of US$14.99.

Additionally, a veteran rewards program has been put in place for players who subscribe to Auto Assault within the first 30 days of service. A detailed description of the veteran rewards is available on the Auto Assault website.

Auto Assault is rated T for teen.
