Gateway Computers announced its E-100M UltraPortable notebook PC, using Centrino chipset and Core Solo (U1300) Ultra Low Voltage (ULV).
The new laptop comes with a 12.1" widescreen display, and can work up to 2.75 hours battery on 3 Cell, 5.5 hours battery life on 6 Cell and 8 hours battery life on 9 Cell (available Q2).
Weighing in at just 1.42Kg with the 3 Cell battery, 1.6Kg with the 6 Cell and 1.75 with the 9 Cell this laptop is targeted at mobile consumers who value its light weight and slim profile of just 1 inch.
The laptop does not come with an internal CD/DVD ROM device, which can instead be connected through a USB port. It does support booting through USB and Flash Memory (6-in-1).
