Peer Telecom is introducing the eggee, a flip-style mobile WiFi phone. The device allows consumers and small business owners to make calls from anywhere in the world with a host of sophisticated features.
Member of the PsipTN alliance, Peer Telecom is targeting the SMEs and SOHO market as well as business travellers with its peer to peer VoIP solution.
Calls from eggee are made over the Public SIP Telephone Network (PsipTN) telephony backbone. With eggee, Peer Telecom offers a free access to 1.5 million worldwide users of PsipTN, and to more than 30 millions VoIP users of SIP. Eggee users can also be called from 36 countries through local phone numbers.
Calls are free to anyone registered with a Peer Telecom account, a SIP phone or member of PsipTN alliance (Teltel, Seednet, Packtel, Prolink, Doop).
Eggee brings advanced features, such as presence, call-forwarding, contact list synchronization, file transfer, one to one desktop sharing, call waiting, call hold and more.
The phone, in a compact clamshell design sports a color LCD display, keypad with backlight and compatibility with 802.11b/g wireless networks. It measures 48.7mm (W) x 113mm (H) x 25mm (D) and weighs only 115g.
