Trend Micro Delivers Internet Security Solution for Microsoft's Windows Vista Beta Customers
Posted on 1-Jun-2006 09:25 | Filed under: News

Trend Micro Incorporated has released PC-cillin Internet Security, which will provide anti-virus and other protections for Windows Vista, the next generation of the Windows client operating system.

A Windows Vista beta version of Trend Micro PC-cillin will be available for download at Microsoft’s “Security at Home” Web site, which provides a variety of security information to help customers prepare for Windows Vista.

Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security offers Windows customers advanced features that go beyond standard antivirus and firewall protection, helping to safeguard customers’ PCs from new emerging threats like phishing attacks, network viruses, spam email, Wi-Fi intrusions, inappropriate web content and spyware programs.

“We are pleased to be working closely with Microsoft during the Beta program of Windows Vista by ensuring that customers receive complete Internet security protection from PC-cillin and our TrendLabs researchers,” said Lane Bess, global general manager of consumer products and services, Trend Micro. “Windows Vista customers can rely on Trend Micro’s long-standing security expertise for protecting their systems, just as we’ve safeguarded users of Windows client operating systems for nearly two decades, and currently protect more than 300 million Microsoft Hotmail users around the world.”
