Nokia and T-Mobile Reveal Luxury Nokia 8801 Slider Phone

Nokia and T-Mobile USA, Inc. are introducing the Nokia 8801 phone online and at select T-Mobile retail stores.

According to the companies, the Nokia 8801 phone is crafted of the finest materials, including high-grade stainless steel, mineral glass and a precision sliding mechanism.

Other features include Bluetooth connectivity, an integrated SVGA camera to capture still images and video; tri-band functionality, a speakerphone, voice recognition and active slide that allows calls to be answered or ended with a flick of a thumb.

The 'pop-up' mechanism uses a bi-stable spring mechanism and stainless steel ball bearings, like those used in high-performance automobiles. When open the phone also reveals a hidden SVGA 0.5 megapixels digital camera on the back.
