Posted on 16-Jun-2006 22:24 | Tags Filed under: News

ACCESS CO., LTD. has developed an image viewing software for Pocket PC, NetFront LocationFree Player Pocket PC. The software supports the "LocationFree"software licensed from Sony Corporation in April this year.

The new software targets information-based home electronics and supports Windows Mobile from Microsoft. Product shipments are scheduled to begin in the second half of this year.

Using media-based consumer electronics that incorporate the NetFront LocationFree Player software,"LocationFree" users will be able to operate and view TV and other video equipment such as DVD players on the Internet or from a wireless LAN any time and any place, as if in their own homes.

NetFront LocationFree Player uses a MPEG4 decoder featuring a unique algorithm.
