Microsoft has released Microsoft Private Folder 1.0, a tool that allows consumers running Windows XP Home Edition, Windows XP Pro or Windows Media Center Editio to protect private data when friends, colleagues, kids or other people share a PC or account.
With this new tool, users will get one password protected folder called 'My Private Folder' in their accounts, to save personal files.
Microsoft Private Folder 1.0 is provided specifically for genuine Windows customers, and requires genuine Windows validation in order to download.
The software is free, and does not come with product support.
