ThinPrint Cortado Pushes Email to Mobile Phones
European-based ThinPrint has started Cortado, a direct push mail service based on Microsoft Exchange. Cortado pushes e-mails to users with Windows Mobile devices through the Microsoft Direct Push technology.

The service starts at only US$6.50 a month. In addition to the push e-mail functionality, ThinPrint have plans to add other services to the Cortado platform, enabling attachments to be read, faxed, or printed via Bluetooth or infrared without first being downloaded.

After registering, customers receive an e-mail address with the Cortado domain. All emails sent to this account are sent to the user's mobile device. To use the Cortado service the user will need an end device based on Windows Mobile 5.0 OS with the Microsoft Messaging & Security Feature Pack (MSFP) installed. The MSFP is part of an update recently issued, called Windows Mobile 5.0 AKU2.

The ThinPrint Hosting Center Cortado was created in cooperation with Hewlett Packard GmbH and the consulting services of Microsoft Deutschland GmbH in Berlin.
