The new Sophos Anti-Rootkit is a free software that helps finding and removing rootkit malware that is hidden on a user's computer.
A rootkit is a technology used to hide the presence of a malicious object (process, file, registry key, network port) from the computer user or administrator.
Sophos Anti-Rootkit provides an extra layer of detection, by detecting and removing rootkit that might already have been installed onto a system.
The software is a small download with about 1.1MB and can be used through a simple graphical user interface or run from the command line.
