Sprint Introduces Samsung IP830-w Windows Mobile for Roaming on GSM and CDMA Networks
Sprint has announced a new Windows Mobile Pocket PC by Samsung, the IP830-w, with dual network roaming capabilities.

The new IP830-w can be used on Sprint's own CDMA 1xRTT/EVDO network, and on GSM/GPRS networks. The device works as a dual band phone on CDMA (1900MHz and 800MHz) and GSM (1800MHz and 900MHz).

Running the Windows Mobile 5.0 AKU 2 operating system and sporting a slider keyboard, the IP830-w comes with 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM for storage and program execution. More memory can be added through the use of SD cards.

The 1.7" display has a standard resolution of 240x320 pixels. Also built-in is Bluetooth wireless capability that allows the Pocket PC to be used as a high speed modem.

Users will receive a SIM card when purchasing the phone, so they are ready to roam on GSM networks out of the box.
