Tegatech Introduces Vega Ultra Portable PC in Australia and New Zealand
Tegatech Australia has released pricing for a new addition in their Ultra Portable PC (UPPC) range, coming through a newly formed partnership with OEM manufacturer Raon Digital Korea.

The company is now the Exclusive Master Distributor in the region for the newly released Vega, a mini handheld Personal Computer that runs Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition.

It ships as a 4.3” touchscreen slate PC and is powered by an AMD LX800 Geode Processor, and 30GB hard disk. The Vega comes in two models, the Vega 256 and Vega 512 with 256MB and 512MB RAM respectively.

Both VGA-out and Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) are achieved via USB Dongles (supplied in both models) and the standard battery boasts an impressive 5.5hrs battery life.

The Vega does not ship with a keyboard so input of data is assisted via a virtual keyboard and an array of buttons and hotkeys designed to increase productivity. Both models weighing in at only 480g including the extended battery.
