Microsoft Releases Messenger for Mac 6.0
The Microsoft Mac BU is launching its first universal application for Intel-based Mac PCs. The last version of this Instant Messenger application focused on features for Enterprise users with support for Live Communications Server 2005, plus a few personal features.

Key updates for personal users include interoperability with Yahoo! Messenger, the ability to create custom emoticons and a personal display message, including “What I’m Listening To” – a feature that allows buddies to see what a user is listening to on iTunes.

For corporate use, IT managers are now provided with the choice to deploy the Messenger for Mac 6.0 for Live Communications Server only, enabling easier IT management.

Customers can download Messenger for Mac 6.0 for free.
