TelstraClear Upgrades Core with Juniper Networks Routers

Posted on 12-Oct-2006 13:25 | Filed under: News

New Zealand-based telecommunications provide TelstraClear has upgraded its core network with Juniper Networks M320 Multiservice Routing Platforms. The M320 platforms expand on TelstraClear’s earlier deployed M-series routers, doubling the service provider’s core network performance from 160 to 320 gigabits per second (Gbps), and enabling them to continue to support growing demand.

TelstraClear serves over 410,000 customers over its network, which carries high performance traffic including broadcast-quality IP-based video over its backbone.

Juniper Networks says this upgrade paves the way for next-generation applications such as business-grade VoIP and VPN services.
