ETEN Introduces Thin glofiish X500 Pocket PC Phone Edition
E-TEN Information Systems has released information of its new device for the Pocket PC Phone market. The glofiish X500 comes in a new case which is 15.5mm thick.

The device runs Windows Mobile 5.0. and all the standard mobile office package that is available for Pocket PC devices, such as Outlook Mobile, Excell Mobile, Word Mobile and PowerPoint Mobile. Users can also access the Internet through a pocket version of Internet Explorer.

The case features 2 quick application buttons that offer one-thumb navigation of Pocket PC applications, 2 dedicated phone function buttons, and several user-configurable softkeys that give each individual the ability to customize and configure their device to best suit their needs.

The glofiish X500 adds support for EDGE networks in addition to GPRS and quad-band GSM for voice telephony. The device also offers dual-standard IEEE 802.11b and 802.11g for increased bandwidth and improved security.

Also built-in is a GPS (Global Positioning System) receiver for use with navigation and travel programs. Users will also benefit of Bluetooth 2.0, multimedia video and audio capabilities, and a 2 mega-pixel camera

The glofiish X500 should be available from November 2006.
