Woosh Wireless has announced the launch of Woosh Broadband in a Box, New Zealand’s first prepaid broadband service.
According to the company, Woosh Broadband in a Box combines an easy to understand and easy to use broadband service with the benefits of wired broadband speed.
With Woosh prepaid broadband in a box, there is no contract, no ongoing costs and the initial purchase will provide six months of internet access.
Woosh developed the prepaid Broadband in a box to cater for the a market segment they found out includes growing number of consumers who find broadband complicated and increasingly difficult to comprehend and purchase. The service includes 1GB data allowance a month. After the first six months users can "recharge" the account for extra months.
The "Individual" box gives users broadband access for one computer, while the "Family" box provides broadband access to share.
As the box includes wired broadband instead of the more known wireless service provided by Woosh, a Telecom New Zealand phone line is required.
Consumers will be able to purchase the kit from 13 November.
