WidowPC Launches PC Designed for World of Warcraft
WidowPC has launched what the company says is the first gaming computer designed especially for World of Warcraft players. The PC hardware and software is optimized to play World of Warcraft at the best possible performance and detail.

The new machine sports a new form of intelligent networking technology that greatly reduces that amount of lag experienced by the player in World of Warcraft and other massively multiplayer online (MMO) games.

The company is using Bigfoot Networks' "Killer NIC" online gaming accelerator as part of a system with retail price of US$1,495 in the U.S. The "Killer NIC" has a built in processor that helps reducing CPU requirements for on-line games.

WidowPC has also announced a new Core 2 Duo gaming laptop based on the NVIDIA Go 7950 GTX video card with 512MB DDR3 memory, Intel Core 2 Duo Meron CPU and up to 4 GB of DDR2 RAM on a US$2195 package.

The Sting 517D gaming laptop also features a 17-inch Wide Screen 1920 x 1200 WUXGA SuperBrite LCD, DVD-RAM technology, 200 GB of SATA hard drive storage, high speed wireless, Bluetooth, TV tuner, memory card slots, and multimedia connections.
