Users can now make VoIP phone calls directly from browser thanks to Gizmo Call
SIPphone is launching a new web-based voice-over-IP (VoIP) service that will see users making phone calls directly from their web browser, thanks to a flash plugin.

The interface allows phone calls to be initiated by entering a phone number or by accessing the web site directly to a page with the phone number as part of the URL, such as http://gizmocall.com/18005551212.

The technology removes the need to download a large client soft phone, and instead requires a relatively (for broadband users) small flash plugin that can be loaded and provide phone calls immediately, without the need of reboot or browser restart.

Users get five minutes of calling per day to just about any phone number and can double that if they register with an email address. For more calls, users can purchase Call Out minutes. Besides PSTN phones they can call for free google talk users, Windows Live users, Gizmo Project users and any other SIP address/device.
