A British company developed a software for some Nokia mobile phones that change then into a, well, a "personal massager".
Purring Kitty is a software for some Nokia models (3410, 6310i, 3510i, 7210, 6610, 5100, 6100, 6800 and 7250) that will start the vibrating mechanism on request. The website is clear: this will not work on any other mobile model.
The software is available to users in other countries. The user enters a credit card number and a PIN on their website. The user then visits a WAP page and enter the mobile number and PIN to access the download.
The interested part just have to send a SMS to a special number (UK users can send the message "go kitty go" to 89080), and a reply will direct the user to a WAP page from where the software can be downloaded. It'll then be available from the "Applications" menu. The application shows a disclaimer advising the user to be sensible with her phone, and that's it!
The software costs £1.50, and it's available from the Vibelet website (Vibrator Applet?) .
Wired magazine has more information about this "product" too.
