Vodafone's following its tradition of naming new products with scant regard to established English usage with the new Free-for-All offering. While at Geekzone we were looking forward to bit of a mobile rumble, it turns out that Free-for-All in Vodafone parlance means that you can get a Motorola RAZR 3G phone, said to be worth $399... for "free".
But wait, there's more: in order to really sock it to you, Vodafone throws in three months TXT 1000, that lets you, erm, send one thousand text messages to any Vodafone mobile. That's "free" too.
If you want to join the Free-for-All, just gracefully take it on the chin and sign up for a two-year contract with Vodafone. It has to be a You Choose 60 or better plan, and before March 31 this year.
