Ilium Software has released NewsBreak 2.0, an update to their RSS feed reader that allows users to catch up on important news wherever they are using mobile devices.
This latest version of NewsBreak introduces full podcast support allowing users to listen to podcasts, watch vidcasts, and view attached files and images in NewsBreak. Users can also control when to download their podcasts, save them to play later, keep their podcasts on a storage card, or tell NewsBreak how much device memory to use to store their podcasts.
NewsBreak 2.0 also incorporates Microsoft Live Search, so users can look online to find more great channels to add to their list. Improved menus make it easier to use the program with one-handed navigation, and the appearance of the program has also been updated with this release. The keyword icons have been updated and more have been added to help users recognize the news they most want to read about with just a glance. NewsBreak completely supports the recently announced Windows Mobile 6.
Some of the other new features on NewBreak 2.0 include:
Individual download criteria for each channel that supports podcasts including scheduling podcasts download
Microsoft Live Search included for adding new channels
Improved menus for one-handed navigation
Set the maximum number of channels to save
New keyword icons plus 6 additional icons and an updated appearance
The software is available for Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Smartphones and is also compatible with the recently announced Windows Mobile 6.
