O4B is open for business
Posted on 8-Mar-2007 22:18 | Tags Filed under: News

Wellington-based open source solutions provider Catalyst IT has launched a free online information resource for organisations looking to use open source business tools.

The initiative, called Open4Business or O4B (www.open4business.co.nz or www.o4b.co.nz), coincides with Catalyst's tenth year as an independent open source provider and a growing interest in open source software generally.

Open4Business is a catalogue of some of the best open source business tools around. It also covers best practice in open source adoption, background information to feed into business cases, and links to local and overseas organisations.

Catalyst will continue developing the information resources on O4B, but in the mean time is looking for domain experts to contribute their knowledge to different areas of the site. They are particularly interested in real-world experience with some of the products described on the site, and have opened a discussion forum to bring experts and newcomers together to talk about their experiences.
