Australian distributor Tegatech is bringing the Samsung Q1 series of Ultra Mobile PC (UMPC) to the Australia and New Zealand marketplace as soon as first week April 2007.
The devices - all flavours of Samsung’s successful Q1 model - will sport faster processors, brighter screens and one model will have a Solid State Disk (SSD) Hard Disk Drive (HDD).
The original Samsung Q1 has been available to Tegatech Resellers since September 2006. It was introduced with a 40GB HDD, 512MB of RAM, an Intel Celeron Processor and sustained little over 2 hrs of battery life. The new stable of Samsung Q1 will now include the following:
· Samsung Q1B (VIA processor and 5hrs battery life on standard 3 cell battery)
· Samsung Q1P with XP Tablet Edition (1.0 GHz Pentium M, 1GB RAM, 60 GB HDD)
· Samsung Q1P with Vista (as above + Vista Business)
· Samsung Q1P Solid State Disk (32GB Flash Memory HDD)
