O2 to introduce concept O2 Cocoon flip phone
O2 UK is set to launch a flip phone with futuristic design - and features. Swedish-based Syntes Studio worked to create a new mobile phone with an external hidden display that is part of the body on this phone.

The tri-band GSM/GPRS and 3G phone features mp3 player (MP3, AAC, AAC , WMA, WAV) with 15 hours music player running time, FM radio with RDS, built-in camera, and of course it places and receive phone calls.

Synthes Studio have worked with other mobile phone manufacturers to create different concepts.

Users will be able to expand its 2 GB internal memory with microSD cards, and connect to wireless headsets via Bluetooth.
3G with HSDPA plus quad-band GSM/GPRS

The device supports video calling and Video streaming/download/playback. It sports a 2.1-inch QVGA 262k-colour display and measures 94(h) x 49(w) x 21(d) mm.

The phone is expected to be released by August 2007.
