ACCESS CO., LTD. and Bytemobile, Inc. have announced a global partnership to co-develop and market solutions, which the company say will dramatically improve the Web browsing experience for mobile devices.

Under the agreement, the two companies will work together to integrate Bytemobile's embedded browser optimization (EBO) technology with the ACCESS NetFront Browser and NetFront Mobile Client Suite (NMCS). The combined solution will allow for faster full Internet page downloads on smartphones and feature phones, and transparently improve download performance by up to 4x over existing technologies on most wireless networks.

The optimized solution will benefit network operators, as well as their customers, by reducing data volumes and improving bandwidth efficiencies, in addition to enhancing the overall browsing experience for end users.

The two companies will also co-sell optimized ACCESS browsers integrated with Bytemobile's Unison(TM) Optimization Services Node (OSN) Monaco Edition to the customers of each company. This combination will provide both client-server and server-based optimization of Web browsing on mobile handsets.

The Bytemobile customer base includes more than 75 carriers in over 45 countries. The ACCESS NetFront Browser provides full Internet browsing from more than 1,151 commercial devices, including PDAs and smartphones. There are currently over 396 million NetFront Browser deployments around the world.
