Silverstripe receives New Zealand government marketing funds

The New Zealand Government has just awarded SilverStripe a substantial marketing grant. Sigurd Magnusson, Chief Marketing Officer says the company now have access to some tens of thousands to help in their efforts in getting the rest of the world to learn about and use the SilverStripe product.
Silverstripe's product is an open source Content Management System (CMS).
The company has recently recieved a USD50,000 grant from Google, which added a huge number of useful and innovative features to SilverStripe. Silverstripe also recently participated of the Google Summer of Code, an internship programme that allows companies to mentor students from around the glove while they develop real world applications.
When asked what the plans for this grant are, Sigurd says "The USA trip I just returned from was very successful in terms of doing presentations, networking and meeting with people, mainly around San Francisco. The product was recieved very well, and the grant lets me continue such flights and raise awareness and hasten adoption of SilverStripe."
There are also plans to kick off some competitions so that the public can contribute towards themes, widgets and modules in the SilverStripe product.
