Dymocks Booksellers partners with Ebooks Corporation

Dymocks Booksellers has partnered with Ebooks Corporation to deliver a wide range of digital books to its online customers in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. The move is part of Dymocks' strategy of delivering a multi-channel, multi-platform digital service to its millions of loyal customers. The service was launched at a gala event in Sydney last month.

Dymocks' CEO, Don Grover said, "This partnership with Ebooks Corporation enables us to provide book lovers with perpetual online access to a vast range of books. Dymocks' customers can now access their collection of ebooks from any device, anywhere, any time."

The eb20 is a browser-based online ebook platform that combines ease of use with strong anti-piracy measures, but the company says without the complication people come to expect from these.

Visitors to the Dymocks website can now choose to buy either a traditional printed book or the digital version, including ebooks and audible products. It is possible to download the entire book to their computer or handheld device, and read it whether or not they're connected to the internet.

Users will be able to access the ebook from any computer that is connected to the internet, with the ability for searching the entire contents of their book, make margin notes, highlight passages of text, bookmark pages, copy-and-paste text, and more.

Dymocks has 78 stores across Australia, 11 in Hong Kong and six in New Zealand -- and continues to grow.
