Google dominates on-line search during November 2007

Nielsen Online has released a report with data for the Top U.S. Search Providers. The report covers the month of November 2007 and ranks the top search engine providers by total searches. Searches represent the total number of queries conducted at the provider.

The top spot is claimed by Google Search, which provided results for 4,253,794,000 searches in the U.S. for November 2007. This represent about 57.7% of total search traffic in the country.

Following in the second position comes Yahoo! Search with 1,317,919,000 search and 17.9% of total search traffic. MSN/Windows Live Search comes in third with 880,550,000 searches claiming 12.0% of total traffic.

Other search engines ranked (in order) are AOL Search (4.5%), Ask.com Search (2.7%), My Web Search (1.2%), Comcast Search (0.5%).
