Celsias is the only New Zealand company presenting at the premier emerging technologies launchpad, DEMO 08 in California, United States later this month.
Celsias is one of only 70 companies invited to present at DEMO 08. The company, which was formed in 2006, was chosen from over a thousand applicants worldwide. It will present to around 700 potential investors, users and industry media at DEMO 08.
“This is a huge opportunity for us to unveil a new and exciting feature on our website to such an influential audience,” says Celsias CEO Nick Lewis.
Celsias will be presenting a special new feature during the DEMO 08.
Wellington-based Celsias is an online hub focused on global warming and broader environmental issues. The company's blog is a highly ranked climate change site with writers and readers in more than 120 countries. Web traffic to Celsias.com grew at a compound growth rate of 65.2% per month during the first 14 months of operation.
Produced by Network World Events and Executive Forums, the semi-annual DEMO conferences focus on emerging technologies and new products, which are hand-selected from across the spectrum of the technology marketplace.
“DEMO 08 is a ‘pressure-cooker’ environment. You only have six minutes to get your presentation across and every company has the same size exhibition booth – so it’s down to you to make your technology stand out from the crowd,” comments Lewis.
The DEMO conferences have earned their reputation for consistently identifying cutting-edge technologies, and have served as launch pad events for companies such as Palm, E*Trade, Handspring, and U.S. Robotics, helping them to secure venture funding, establish critical business relationships, and influence early adopters.
