Posted on 21-Feb-2008 09:03 | Filed under: News

Raxco Software has joined VMware’s Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program and as a formal member of the program the company will provide IT organizations with a solution that automatically optimizes the VMware Workstation and Server environments.

Through a single installation on the host machine, PerfectDisk 2008 for VMware provides disk defragmentation of all the host’s drives and the virtual machines’ drives, automatically reindexes VMware data structures, and shrinks the virtual drives to reclaim disk space.

“Virtual environments present some unique challenges for enhancing and maintaining optimal performance and maximizing storage use,” said Joe Abusamra, vice president of operations at Raxco Software. “We’ve leveraged our years of Windows performance and storage expertise to bring a unique solution to VMware users with our PerfectDisk 2008 for VMware offering. Now VMware users can improve performance and reclaim disk space easily and automatically.”

Other PerfectDisk’s capabilities for the VMware environment include a completely automated optimization solution for VMware virtual drives in accordance with VMware recommendations with full defragmentation and free space consolidation of VMware virtual drives.
