The NZTE is already working on their plans to take some New Zealand technology companies to the CeBIT 2009 in Hannover, Germany.
CeBIT Germany is the largest global tradeshow specialising in ICT. With more than 5,845 exhibitors from 77 countries, and close to half a million visitors, the CeBIT Hannover provides space for country-sponsored exhibits that showcase groups of companies from that country.
As many as 70 countries support ‘country pavilions’ at CeBIT each year. For the past four years the New Zealand Pavilion has received media acclaim over its design and has been described by Deutsche Messe as a best practise country pavilion.
In 2008 NZTE supported fifteen New Zealand companies to exhibit on the New Zealand New Thinking-branded pavilion, and for the fourth year running, the New Zealand presence at CeBIT was considered an outstanding success by all participants.
As part of the 2009 programme, NZTE is committed to providing another prominent presence via the New Zealand Pavilion and appropriate exhibition infrastructure and facilities, along with business matching services, PR, marketing and networking opportunities.
To start these plans, NZTE is running a roadshow in early July to provide more information and gauge interest in the event.
The dates are:
9th July 2008 - Christchurch
10th July 2008 - Wellington
11th July 2008 - Auckland
