Nokia opening care centre in Auckland and Christchurch
Posted on 18-Feb-2009 11:06 | Tags Filed under: News

Nokia is opening two Nokia Care Centres, the first in the heart of Auckland, with promises of bringing first-class customer care direct to Kiwis.

“The new Auckland centre is part of Nokia’s multimillion dollar investment program in Care in New Zealand. We will also open a new Care Centre in Christchurch towards the middle of this year,” said Peter Thomas, Head of Customer Care for Nokia Australia & New Zealand.

“Nokia is the only mobile manufacturer to provide this level of direct customer care investment locally and this highlights our commitment to the New Zealand market,” he said.

“We can service approximately 80 per cent of all repairs on-site providing faster repair turn around times and better overall service for Nokia customers,” Thomas said.

“In addition to warranty and out-of-warranty repairs, our staff are also available to assist customers with other services such as updating software as well as helping to set up navigation services and email connectivity.

“The state-of-the-art Care Centre facility features a fully equipped technical workshop, an internet kiosk providing free internet access for customers, a full display of the latest Nokia accessories as well as comfortable customer lounge and service areas,” Thomas said.

“The new centre not only supports local consumers, it also allows us to directly support local mobile phone retailers with personal and timely service,” Thomas said.

The Nokia Care Centre features a team of 16 fully trained and supported Nokia technicians and customer service professionals. They provide a wide range of services to consumers including product repair and warranty support, technical support, software upgrades, product training and education as well as Nokia Gear and Nokia services sales.
In another innovation, Nokia provides instant SMS or email repair status updates and provides consumers the ability to track their mobile phone through the repair process online (www.nokia.co.nz/repairstatus).

Nokia recently announced the introduction of a ‘Customer Charter’ which promises to resolve customer issues, when a customer comes into our Nokia Care Centre, within three business days or Nokia will provide that customer with a complementary and compatible Nokia genuine accessory.
