Nitro PDF Software launches free PDF-to-Word conversion service
Nitro PDF Software has announced the public release of a new, completely free PDF-to-Word conversion service, launched initially as a private beta.

The new service allows users to quickly and easily create highly-editable DOC/RTF files, making it simple to re-use PDF content in applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, OpenOffice, and WordPerfect.

The company says "[Nitro] believes the quality of the conversion output to be the best in the world and invites both the media and end users to try the service to see for themselves."

"We're very excited about the launch of the new PDF-to-Word service, the latest addition to our ever-expanding powerhouse of free, high-quality PDF solutions," said Sam Chandler, Nitro's CEO. "It's great to have already received so much positive feedback from beta users and reviewers who are amazed by not only the reliability of the service, but more importantly, the accuracy of the conversion results." Chandler concluded, "We firmly believe the service offers the best PDF-to-Word conversion available on the market today and challenge anyone to find a better, more accurate solution."

The new service will be an online cornerstone of Nitro's free PDF software suite which currently has a base of over 25 million users and comprises a free PDF creator (PrimoPDF); a free PDF web browser extension (PDF Download); a free online PDF creation service (PrimoOnline); and a free online PDF editor (PDF Hammer).
