Google has announced an updated YouTube mobile application extending support to more devices and offering better speed, quality, and robustness in the client. This new version is optimized for most Window Mobile and Symbian Series 60 devices and can be downloaded directly on the mobile device.
In addition to providing YouTube on more phones than ever before, it's also faster -- the company says it is up to 90% faster starting up, searching, and video loading. The program automatically detects your device and network capabilities, and selects the highest available stream quality based on those.
The application has an auto update feature that will alert users as more improvements become available.
Google says that while YouTube has been available for many mobile phones for over a year, they are now taking a big step forward with a new version of our mobile YouTube application for smart devices. It's optimized for most Windows Mobile and Symbian Series 60 devices
