The addition of live traffic and intelligent key word search are just two of the new features from the latest Navman GPS range.
The four new units in the MY Series, launching in stores across New Zealand this week, offer a host of new features and enhancements that go beyond simple navigation making travel better, safer and more interesting.
According to Wendy Hammond, marketing director Navman, the impressive new range is the result of bringing together the latest technologies to anticipate and meet the needs of customers, by providing the very best and most useful navigational tools available, and making them even easier to use.
“With the new Navman MY Series, people should feel like they have a reliable and knowledgeable friend in the car who knows the area – a resource from which they can get good directions, find a sportsground, search a restaurant, be reminded of speeds, be alerted to traffic incidents ahead, and even take overseas with them to have the maps and guides they need on holiday,” she says.
Substantial changes in the software development of the new range and additions to the interface give users more of a choice in how they want to use the unit. There is also a simplified, more user-friendly menu including practical shortcuts to take you to the nearest parking, petrol station, ATM, food and places of interest, as well as an SOS shortcut to guide you to the nearest police station or hospital.
Now available in store, features of the new Navman MY Series’ include:
- Real time traffic, including weather updates
- Intuitive “Smart Find” destination input
- Extended lane guidance, 3D junction views and 3D landmarks
- Multi-trip planner
- Tap or slide wide screens
- Pedestrian mode
The MYSeries still contains Navman’s most popular features, such as a digital logbook to record your journey, an explore function, fuel efficient routes, the latest Geosmart maps, speed and safety guidance, Navpix, and all units come with a two year warranty.
