NEC released a PDA mini-notebook combination computer. According to NEC it is not a Pocket PC neither a notebook. It's a Handheld PC (HP/C), running an Intel XScale 400M, 32MB of RAM and 32MB of flash memory for storing and managing applications. The MobilePro 900 does not contain a built-in hard drive and runs Windows CE, as well as the pocket version of Microsoft applications.
It sports an 8.1-inch screen It's powered by a lithium ion battery that runs up to 8 hours, or 4 hours when running on a wireless network. Expasions include one CF Card slot and one PC Card slot. Its keyboard is water resistant.
The new HP/C will be available through Amazon.com, CDW Computer Centers and PC Connection. NEC's HP/C will cost around US$899.
