Forum Nokia, together with the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA), will be hosting a developer day in Sydney on 2 March 2010. Forum Nokia Developer Conference 2010 is a free event for content providers and developers to learn about the latest business opportunities and tools for creating and distributing mobile applications.
The event will include insights from senior Nokia engineers and guest speakers from some of the most well-known content providers and application developers on the home and international fronts. Attendees will learn about the latest trends and developments from Nokia including the Ovi Store, Maemo, Symbian^3 and Web Run-Time. There will be many of Nokia’s latest mobile devices and services on show including the N900.
Purnima Kochikar, VP Forum Nokia and Developer Community, said: “We have more than four million content partners, many of whom are producing exceptionally creative software and services on Nokia mobiles. “Our goal is to accelerate the growth and development of content providers and application developers by helping them build potentially lucrative applications and services for the global mobile marketplace.
“Nokia has extraordinary reach and scale which in turn brings huge market opportunities for developers and the like. You only have to look at the number of applications that are being downloaded from the Ovi Store everyday, which is nearing 1 million and the 100 per cent growth month-on-month, to gauge the possibilities,” Ms Kochikar said.
Forum Nokia is Nokia's global developer program that connects developers to tools, technical information, support, and distribution channels they can use to build and market applications around the globe. To register for the event please visit -
