Posted on 4-Aug-2010 09:25 | Tags Filed under: News

LG Mobile is set to launch its first two handsets available on New Zealand’s newest mobile network, 2degrees.

The move leads the way for an ongoing relationship between the two companies, enabling 2degrees customers’ access to LG Mobile’s exciting range of design conscious handsets.

LG Mobile New Zealand Business Manager, Adam Gordon is looking forward to working with 2degrees and putting the LG brand in front of a growing market of its mobile users.

“The world of telecommunications moves at a fast pace and the local New Zealand market is no different. LG mobile has been offering New Zealanders its range of award winning handsets and mobile accessories since 2007 and now LG Mobile can extend these offerings to the growing number of 2degrees customers. It’s an exciting development for both companies,” said Gordon.

The first two handsets to be released on the 2degrees networks are the LG GS108 and the LG GU285.

Available from August 9, the LG GS108 is a fantastic entry level handset, offering plenty of functionality at an ultra competitive price.

The LG GS108 features a 1.5” full colour display, Wireless FM radio and flashlight and the phone offers exceptional talk time and easy micro USB charging.

Entry level business capabilities include calendar, task list and flight mode, and the built in speakerphone and large keypad add to the phone’s easy to use functionality.

The LG GS108 will be available exclusively from 2degrees in with a RRP $79.00

Available from August 9 the GU285 offers 3G technology and a stylish interface, all at a very affordable price.

The 2.0” screen, with subtle metal detailing, slides away to revel a very functional keypad.

The handset features a 1.3MP camera and video calling, through an additional front mounted camera.

Storage size is expandable through the Micro SD slot, MP3 is supported and the phone offers Bluetooth connectivity, essential for synchronising with fast paced lifestyles.

The LG GU285 will be available exclusively from 2degrees in with a RRP $249.00 with a launch special of $199.00 including a 50MB data pack.
