Posted on 4-Oct-2010 00:00 | Filed under: News

IBM has extended its longstanding business relationship with Air New Zealand for five additional years, in which IBM will provide business and technology services to support the airline’s expanding global business needs.

Jennifer Moxon, Managing Director, IBM New Zealand, says the new agreement signals a further strengthening of the relationship between the two companies.

"IBM has been supporting Air New Zealand’s business for the last thirteen years and this agreement reflects the strength of this long-standing business relationship.”

“Over the next seven years, we will continue to work closely with Air New Zealand to fulfil their business needs and to provide support through innovative solutions and services.

“We are committed to providing the airline with the best of IBM’s global expertise, delivered locally by our New Zealand business.”

Under the new agreement, signed in September 2010, IBM will provide new mainframe and virtual hosting services in a highly available, active configuration, to enhance resiliency of the airline’s core systems.
