Wolfram|Alpha App for Android available now
Wolfram Alpha LLC is making the Wolfram|Alpha App for Android available through Android Market. The app launched with the new T-Mobile G2 with Google in the U.S., but is also available to all users of devices running Android 1.6 with access to Android Market

With access to over a thousand domains of knowledge covering math, science, engineering, health and nutrition, geography, economics, linguistics, people and history, sports, music, and much more, the Wolfram|Alpha App serves as an on-the-go resource for getting the facts people want right now and discovering new knowledge based on their queries.

The Wolfram|Alpha App for Android delivers the full power of the Wolfram|Alpha computational knowledge engine, providing Android users with a massive amount of factual information in the palms of their hands.

The application also leverages Android's voice-input capability, making it easy to get answers from Wolfram|Alpha while on the go, hands-free. The application integrates Wolfram|Alpha's growing repository of curated data, including over ten trillion data elements, and its library of tens of thousands of sophisticated computational models to deliver knowledge quickly and seamlessly, on demand, anywhere.

"Consumers crave a mobile experience that gives them access to the information they want, wherever they are," said Saj Sahay, director, product management, T-Mobile. "We designed the T-Mobile G2 with this in mind, and we're proud to work with Wolfram|Alpha on their entry into the Android space."

"Wolfram|Alpha is democratizing knowledge by giving people access to its amazing computational engine and an expertly curated factual archive," said Barak Berkowitz, Managing Director, Wolfram Alpha LLC. "The T-Mobile G2 running at 4G speeds is the perfect platform to run the Wolfram|Alpha App. Users will experience the true power of Wolfram|Alpha through this powerful phone and T-Mobile's super-fast network. In our goal to make Wolfram|Alpha available to everyone everywhere, on every internet-enabled device, the expansion to Android devices is an important step. The Wolfram|Alpha app for Android answers the demand we've been hearing from Android users since our launch last year."

The Wolfram|Alpha App for Android is available for US$1.99.
