PC Tools now with New Zealand presence
PC Tools marks their official New Zealand market entry with the release of its 2011 performance and protection portfolio. The portfolio includes PC Tools Spyware Doctor with AntiVirus, PC Tools Internet Security, Registry Mechanic and brand-new PC Tools Performance Toolkit, built on the brand’s award-winning technologies.

Building on PC Tools’ philosophy of developing powerful solutions with great ease-of-use, the 2011 portfolio focuses on eliminating the many challenges consumers face when considering performance or protection options, and developing a sharper, more comprehensive portfolio that delivers simplicity, effectiveness and affordability to customers.

Tom Powledge, Vice President and General Manager, PC Tools, said, "New Zealand has always been an important part of our global expansion plans. We believe there is room in New Zealand for a vendor that offers simple, easy-to-use, effective products for the price-conscious consumer and now a local presence will allow us to extend our customer reach within the New Zealand market.”

“It’s really all about protection and performance minus the fuss and confusion. Simply put, our 2011 products get the job done.”

The company says tests conducted in August by independent test lab AV-Test.org demonstrate that PC Tools Internet Security 2011 is among the top three consumer security products in real-world malware-blocking tests. PC Tools scored 100% for overall detection and blocking, based on dynamic malware testing.

PC Tools’ performance portfolio compliments the protection portfolio by providing a set of core tools to improve the speed, stability and privacy of the complete Windows Experience.

Independent testing by Passmark shows the brand-new PC Tools Performance Toolkit improves the experience of Windows 7, XP and Vista users, reducing boot time, while improving responsiveness and email accessibility within Microsoft Outlook.

The PC Tools 2011 protection portfolio enhances real-time scans and threat remediation while improving performance behind the scenes without impact to the user or slowing the PC down. The new flexibility options allow consumers to choose an automated experience or to customise advanced settings.

The entire PC Tools 2011 portfolio offers increased protection, performance and simplicity for the value-conscious consumer. The products are available online in New Zealand currency.
