The Image College is bringing one of the world’s foremost authorities in virtualisation, Scott Lowe, to New Zealand in November to present a one day seminar entitled “Charting Your Journey to Pervasive Vir tualisation”.

This full day education event will explain, in terms free from manufacturers' marketing messages, the essentials of a virtualised environment.

Scott Lowe will walk attendees through the challenges, the design principles and the what the future holds. Along the way, people who attend this event will learn about how virtualisation co-exists with IaaS-based cloud computing, and Scott will take a close look at the security implications involved in successfully implementing a vir tualised infrastructure.

Scott will also explain the certification levels and career options that vir tualisation opens up for IT professionals.
You will leave this event wiser, more technically able and with a better strategic understanding of this crucial, exploding area of the Information Technology market.

The presenter has been in the Information Technology field for more than 17 years. He has worked as an instructor, a technical trainer and Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), a systems administrator, an IT manager, a systems engineer, a consultant, and the Chief Technology Officer for a small start-up. Currently, he works for EMC Corporation as a CTO for the vSpecialist team, focusing on the intersection and integration of VMware, Cisco, and EMC products, solutions, and technologies.

He is a former contributor to SearchVMware.com, a VMware-focused website with technical articles, how-to’s, tips, and news. He has written three highly influential books on the subject - "Mastering VMware vSphere 4", "VMware vSphere 4 Administration Instant Reference", and "VMware vSphere Design", all by Wiley/Sybex. All three books are available from Amazon.com and major booksellers.

In addition, he currently maintains http://blog.scottlowe.org, a highly regarded vir tualization-centric weblog providing information, insight, and technical knowledge on various solutions, including VMware vSphere and VMware Infrastructure, storage area networking, and other enterprise technologies.

The event is happening in Auckland 1st November at the Spencer on Byron Hotel, Takapuna and Wellington 3rd November at the Civic Suites, Town Hall. The event is priced at NZ$329 +GST.
