Vodafone New Zealand has announced that BlackBerry smartphones are now available on Vodafone Smart plans, giving customers access to BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) without any additional bolt-on fee.
“It is always exciting when new plans are introduced that make BlackBerry devices, security and functionality more accessible and affordable to consumers for work and play,” said Adele Beachley, Managing Director, Research In Motion ANZ. “Vodafone’s Smart plans mean that BlackBerry users can surf the web, securely send and receive emails, watch videos, access and share documents, connect using BlackBerry Messenger and more.”
BIS offers customers secure access to internet browsing, email, BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) and all of the features for which BlackBerry is known.
The BIS plans also provide access to the wealth of apps available via BlackBerry App World so users can download games, utility apps and much more, allowing them to personalise their smartphones however they like.
As a sponsor of the Rugby World Cup 2011, BlackBerry is celebrating the launch of the new plans by giving away two tickets to the Rugby World Cup 2011 final. All customers who purchase a BlackBerry smartphone on a Vodafone Smart plan during September will go in the draw to win.
Vodafone is currently offering the BlackBerry Torch 9800, BlackBerry Curve 9300 and BlackBerry Curve 8520 on Smart plans.
