Opera Browser for Symbian Series 60 (including Nokia mobile phones). Opera 6 for Series 60 is a full Internet browser. The same windows browser engine ported to Symbian OS, delivering browsing capabilities unlike anything previously available on mobile phones.
Due to the limited input methods on a device without mouse or touch screen and the challenges of navigating a site not designed for the small screen, Opera has implemented several navigation methods to give the best user experience depending on the content browsed.
In SSR: In this mode the page is usually quite tall. Navigation is optimized to easily move page up/down to read the content while jumping between links only when the user wishes to click on one.
In normal rendering: Spatial navigation is used to allow viewing of a page which is much larger than the screen while still being able to activate links and form elements.
WAP and XHTML pages formatted especially for the small screen size: Opera uses spatial navigation similar to the Nokia XHTML browser.
Full screen view: Opera offers a Full Screen mode so theentire screen of a Series 60 device can be used for browsing. A status bar is visible during download to give users continuous feedback.
