Pitney Bowes New Zealand announced the appointment of Brett Roberts to the newly-created role of Director of New Technologies. After leaving Microsoft in 2010 he co-founded strategy consultancy Business IQ.

Brett has over 20 years of technology industry experience in a variety of sales, marketing and leadership roles and is also actively involved in the New Zealand technology entrepreneur community as an advisor, mentor and head of Silicon Valley ‘connector’ Wharf42.

Pitney Bowes provides business communications software, mailing systems and services that integrate physical and digital communications channels. The company is increasingly helping other companies grow their business through advanced customer communications management. Pitney Bowes is a NZ$5.3 billion company with 29,000 employees worldwide.

Pitney Bowes New Zealand General Manager, Misti Landtoop, said that Brett’s business and technology experience coupled with his entrepreneurial approach made him an ideal choice to bring innovative new offerings from the Pitney Bowes Growth Markets Solutions Factory to the New Zealand market.

“I’m thrilled to have someone of Brett’s calibre join our team here in New Zealand. Worldwide, Pitney Bowes is in the midst of an incredibly exciting period of transformation and growth and Brett will play a crucial role in helping us identify new business and partnership opportunities.
