I have a phone or two that have screen printed logos on them (e.g. see pic) that i want to remove as I am with a different carrier. I also just bought a HTC magic off trademe that I will run with Cyanogen firmware.

How can I remove these screen prints to have an unbranded phone?

I work in a lab so I have access to any kind of solvent, I just tried some ethanol and isopropanol, that didn't do anything as I expected (well it is a bit cleaner now).

I could progressively try stronger solvents until I find one that removes the brand but doesn't melt the plastic, but has anyone done this before?

Will probably come off with some light abrasive, toothpaste might take it off.

you might be able to buy new housing for the phone, depending on the brand.

OK what should I try next on the list of solvents (sorted by strength).

I have seen choloform melt plastic before...

This guy seems to think sugar cubes will work. Never seen a sugar cube in NZ before.
