I found it in my onedrive, on manage storage, and upgrade their was a office 365personal + 1tb for free, however i suspect its for U.S. based accts or bing rewards as my nz acct does not show the offer.

Ah ok.  It was an offer to people that lost space from the downgrade of onedrive.  People had space removed but were given a free office 365 subscription for a year to make up for it.

Is the OneDrive product that you get as part of Office365 still OneDrive for business (which differs significantly from the regular OneDrive) or do they just bundle OneDrive now?

If you are using more than 5 GB of free storage, you will continue to have access to all files for at least 12 months after these changes go into effect in early 2016. In addition, you can redeem a free one-year Office 365 - Personal subscription (credit card required), which includes 1 TB of OneDrive storage.

If you have office 365 for home you get 1TB included.  You also get some skype minutes (60 a month if i recall).

Think business 365 gets unlimited.

Ive got the offer on my account and wasnt affected by any changes they were making and Im not a paid member. Been using it since day one, and slowly had it increased from 5GB (I think) upto 40GB now via various things.

Heres the terms :

Offer valid for a free one year subscription of Office 365 Personal. Must redeem by August 15th, 2016. Payment instrument required and will be automatically charged the then-current subscription price after one year unless you cancel your subscription at www.office.com/myaccount. Valid only if you are an original recipient of this offer; are a OneDrive free plan subscriber without an existing paid OneDrive, Office 365 or Groove Music subscription, have over 5 GB of content stored on OneDrive and are not already using more than your storage allotment as of January 15th, 2016. Offer must be redeemed via the Microsoft Store online. Limit of one per person/Microsoft account; must use the account associated with your OneDrive subscription. May not be redeemed by or transferred to another customer, or combined with other offers. Violation of these terms may result in cancellation of your Office 365 subscription. Not valid on prior orders or purchases; may not be redeemed for cash or gift cards. Offer not valid in Japan, China, Hong Kong and countries where Office 365 Personal and/or OneDrive is not available. Microsoft reserves the right to modify or discontinue the offer at any time.

Thanks for the heads up!

Just remember to turn off the Auto-Renewal if you don't want to pay NZ$119 in a year's time.

Thanks for the heads-up OP, worked perfectly for me. Very straightforward to turn off the auto-renewal.

I have 15Gb of storage which I am not using much of. No offer shows on my account at all and I have received no email advising me that the storage limit will change?

Hey @Geektastic if you go to your OneDrive page through here:

And then go to 'Upgrade' on the bottom left as shown here:

What do you see?

Could you post a screenshot by any chance so I can see the difference some people might have? Cheers.
